Interviews
  • Each one can be different-ask beforehand. Do your
    homework!
  • Prepare likely questions- e.g. strengths and
    weaknesses, clinical experience, what attracted
you to the job, the type of assessment and
    intervention you may be doing.
  • Be prepared to think wide e.g. you may be asked
to consider a specific scenario, or
Government/NHS policy, useful to have a broad
    overview and know buzz words.
  • Prepare at least 3 or 4 questions for them
beforehand. Find out about support available.

need e.g. specific case? Caseload management?
  • If you feel you need more, or a different type,
    ask!

7
NQP framework
  • Use it as working document
  • Take it to supervision-some supervisors will ask
for it, others wont, but keep on with it.
  • Useful document to help guide your first
    year-provides good opportunities for shadowing
    etc.
