• A long time ago when the Mayans lived, there was
  a brother and sister named Tup and Rosha. Rosha
  like to play with people and play alone, but her
  brother Tup like to only play with people.

• Tup and Roshas parents grew corn. One day
  their mother and father were at the market
  selling the extra corn they grew. Rosha went to
  dip her feet in the cool creek water. Tup on the
  other hand got very hot and got very angry.

• Tup said, I will capture the sun and make
  Rosha help me. So, that night Tup crept into
  Roshas room and cut off some of her hair.

• Rosha awoke quickly. Mi pelo ! What have you
  done with my hair? she screamed.
• I have used it to capture the sun, cackled Tup.

• Tup ran out of the room with her hair and into
  the forest. He captured the sun by weaving
  Roshas hair into a net.

• By the time Rosha got to the forest Tup had
  already captured the sun. Rosha said Necio ! You
  fool! Then he ran off. Rosha tried to untangle
  all of the knots in the net Tup weaved with her
  hair, but she couldnt do it alone.

• So, Rosha went into the forest to see if any one
  would help her, but nobody was brave enough. Then
  a mole came to her and asked Whats wrong?
  and she told the mole Everything. The mole
  said Yo soy muy valiente, I will help you.

• Then they ran back to the sun. Finally, they had
  set the sun free. The sun made two promises one
  to the mole and to Rosha. The promise to the mole
  was a safer and happier life. The suns promise
  to Rosha was her eyes and all of the eyes of
  the Mayan women will shine in my light forever.
  The sun kept its promise forever.

  grade. Her teachers name is Mrs.Leclaire. She
  likes to play soccer . Also she loves to dance
  and sing. Her favorite soccer player is Mia
  Hamm. Her favorite singer is Hannah Montana. Her
  favorite song is Rock Star. Brianna has a 2 year
  old brother. She also has a 6 year old sister
  that is in 1st grade. Her favorite book is Flash
  Cards of My Life.
