Be professional, not modest
Teachers seem peculiarly resistant to learning
how to use an interview as a sales pitch. This
may be because we are a naturally modest
profession, because our academic training makes
us very self-critical or because we tend to
denigrate those who pass themselves off well in
interview as being merely good talkers.
