Technology NewsWindows Mobile 7 Rumors!

• Recent rumors from well-respected industry
  bloggers contain very interesting speculation
  about features in the next version of Windows
  Mobile 7 for Pocket PC devices
• It will use touch gestures, similar to the
  iPhone. You will be able to flick through lists,
  pan, swipe sideway, draw on the screen

• Windows Mobile 7 will also use motion gestures,
  something the iPhone does not

• It will not use an intricate and complicated
  series of gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Instead, it will use the camera on the phone to
  detect motions and create appropriate actions

• You will be able to shake, twist and otherwise
  manipulate the phone and get things done
• The phone will be able to perform actions when
  placed face down on a surface, and it will know
  when it is in your pocket or bag

• Microsoft has re-thought its position on
  discontinuing it
• From a support point of view, Windows XP still
  has a lot of life left in it
• Mainstream Support will be available until April

A free digital shredder to easily and permanently
delete sensitive files!

• Most people have some computer data that they
  would rather not share with others
• Passwords
• Personal information
• Classified documents from work
• Financial records
• Etc.
• When the time comes to remove the data from your
  hard disk, things get more complicated and
  maintaining your privacy is not as simple as it
  may have seemed at first
• Who thinks that when you delete a file and then
  delete it from the recycle bin, it is really gone?

• Your first thought may be that when you delete
  the file, the data is gone
• When you delete a file, the operating system does
  not remove the file from the disk
• It only removes the reference of the file from
  the file system table
• The file remains on the disk until another file
  is created over it
• And even after that, it might be possible to
  recover data by studying the magnetic fields on
  the disk platter surface!

  retrieve it with a disk maintenance or an
  undelete utility
• There are several problems in secure file
  removal
• Mostly caused by the use of write cache,
  construction of the hard disk and the use of data
  encoding
