Purpose
Oracle Issues Forum

• Provide Constructive Feedback to Oracle regarding
  their Products, Services, and/or Strategy as they
  affect their users - US!
• Input to National OAUG board for their meetings
  with Oracle.
• Atlanta meetings twice a year in January June
  to coordinate with National conferences.
• Voluntary participation for 1 year with 2 member
  companies rolling off each year

• Forum leaders each discuss 1 or more issues of
  concern to their organization
• Solicit concurrence or relevance of these issues
  to other organizations - you!
• Solicit discussion of additional issues from
  audience.
• Breakout sessions - develop issue and
  recommendations to communicate to Oracle

  service companies which typically have higher
  numbers of employees.

• Quality of Patches
• Continue move to mega-patches. To apply patch Z
  you must load patches A-Y.
• Better patch testing. Patches ported from HP or
  SUN often fail on other operating systems.
• Patches should be scripted for production
  environments.

• Quality of Release Architecture
• Application speed. Move to 10.7 NCA was good.
  Will it get faster ?
• J-initiator upgrades that work completely with
  all application modules.
• WAN connectivity and unfriendly error messages.
• Simple upgrade path to future releases.
