Soil Chem 2003

• Soil used in the study was collected from an
  area within 122 cm of the Admissions Building at
  the University of Vermont to a depth of 8 cm.
• Soil was collected and passed through a 4mm
  sieve while moist. After mixing, a subsample was
  set out to air dry for subsequent analysis. The
  remaining soil was kept in a sealed plastic bag
  and stored at 10 oC.

Treatments

• The treatments were set up with the moist cool
  soil in duplicate.
• The treatments were control, triple super
  phosphate (TSP), rock phosphate, compost (0.54
  P), TSP compost, rock phosphate compost each
  mixed in 800 g soil.
• The compost in all treatments was added on a 10
  dry weight basis, and all the fertilizers were
  added at a 21 molar ratio of added Psoil Pb.
• This resulted in 8.26 g TSP (0-46-0) and 11.88 g
  rock P2O5 (32 P2O5 4 available) in the
  respective 800 g soil treatments.
• The compost is from the Intervale Compost Co., a
  local Burlington, VT based operation.
