So what is a non participial adjective?

• A non participial adjective is an adjective that
  is not derived from a verb.
• It does not end with
• -d, -ed, -en, or -ing.
• It modifies a noun or anything that functions as
  a noun. (gerunds, participial phrases, etc.)
