Driving regulations
The Dutch Painters Tournesol

• Driving Knowledge Test
• Cyclist during test lap
• Car can not be pushed on the track
• One way direction on the track
• Communications must be hands-free
• Use horn during overtaking
• In case accident, driver removes car asap
• Car must be parked in pit

Drivers equipment

• Weight must be 50kg with clothing
• Driver must wear helmet
• Synthetic clothes (underwear!) is strictly
  forbidden

Team equipment

• Gloves for general work
• Gloves for fuel or motor oil handling
• Safety glasses
• Hearing protection
• Duct tape
• Operational 6kg dry-chemical extinguisher
• Dust masks when required for specific works with
  composite material

The car

• Sufficient ventilation in cockpit
• Cockpit must have sunscreen
• Harness must have 5 mounting points
• Driver must evacuate car within 10 sec
• Car must have the authorised horn
• Clutch system
• Fuel tank must be visible
• Firewall

• Exhaust outside the car
• Sound level 90dB max.
• Emergency stop
• New fire extinguisher
• Engine can only be turned on on the track

Camp site

• Noise level low 2300 0700 !!!
• Special cooking area
• Naked fires strictly forbidden
• Each team is responsible for their immediate
  environment
• Smoking in the paddock area is forbidden

Cyclist

• Must wear helmet
• Only during test laps on track
• Closed shoes
• Protective clothes (long sleeves and no shorts)
• One way traffic only
• Communication hands-free
• No cycling off track

Pit area

• Pit must be tidy
• No eating around chemicals
• Emergency exit must not be blocked
• Fire extinguisher
• First-aid kit

Penalties
The Dutch Painters Tournesol

• Organisers shall apply the following
• penalties for the following infractions
• Non-use of the horn prior to overtaking
• Non-compliance with on-track safety or driving
  rules
• Non-compliance with off-track safety rules

• 1st infraction Formal warning to the Team
  Manager No direct consequences
• 2nd infraction Formal warning to the Team
  Manager Best overall attempt invalidated at the
  end of the competition
• 3rd infraction Formal warning to the Team
  Manager Immediate team disqualification
