Our Trip to Italy

Rome
First we took a flight to Rome. We saw the
Popes home in Vatican City . Then we saw the
colosseum where they used to make gladiators
fight wild animals and each other. Circus Maximus
was very cool! They used to show chariot races
there. We looked up at the pantheon. Rome was FUN!

Venice
Then we traveled NE to Venice. We tried to see
all 150 canals and 409 ancient bridges. There is
also 117 small islands. There were many sights as
we rode in a gondola. We saw famous artwork and
landmarks. Venice was exiting!

Turin
Then we went west to Turin. It held the 2006
Olympic games. We saw important museums and
churches. The art galleries were filled with
great art. Turin was historical.

Pisa
We traveled SE to Pisa. There we saw the Leaning
Tower of Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is 800
years old and has 294 steps. Everywhere we looked
we saw people selling Pinocchio puppets. Pisa was
unique.

Milan
Then we traveled NE to Milan. We were lucky to
catch an A.C.Milan soccer game. We saw a nail
assumed to come from Christ's cross. For dinner
we had a big pepperoni pizza. It was very good.
We wondered what we would do next?

Florence
Then we traveled east to Florence. There we saw
creative churches. We also saw magnificent art
galleries and museums including a statue named
David. Florence was amazing.

Mt. Etna
Then we went SE to see Mt. Etna. It could of
erupted any second. It is 10,158 feet tall. Mt.
Etna is the tallest active volcano in Europe. We
were scared to death.

Back In The U.S.A!
Exploring Italy was really fun but , its great
being back in the U.S.A.. Italy had so many
sights but , not as much as New York! Join us on
are next adventure to Mexico!
