• Members of a community are called citizens.
• Every community needs laws to maintain order.

Types of Communities

• Urban another name for a city. Cities have
  many businesses, hotels, museums, theaters, and
  taxis.
• Suburb towns near to a city. Suburbs have
  houses, schools, and businesses also, but are not
  as crowded as cities.
• Rural areas farther from a city, with fewer
  people and more open space than suburbs. Many
  are near farms.

History of Ewing The first people to live in
Ewing were the Lenni Lenape Indians. The
township was named after Charles Ewing, a member
of the NJ Supreme Court in the 1800s. The
township was officially named Ewing on Feb. 22,
1834.
