Woodwind Instruments

• All woodwinds but the flute and piccolo have
  wooden reeds on the mouthpiece.
• Woodwinds are usually located
• towards the front of the band.
• Some woodwinds include clarinet, flute,
  saxophone, bass clarinet, oboe.

Brass Instruments

• Brass instruments are made from different types
  of metals including brass (most popular),
  nickel, bronze, and copper.
• The brass section is located towards the back of
  the band.
• Some brass instruments include trumpet, tuba,
  trombone, cornet, French horn.

String Instruments

• The string group has four main instruments,
  their names are violin, viola, cello, and bass.
• An orchestra is composed of these four instrument
  groups.
• Some other string instruments include piano,
  guitar, mandolin, banjo.

Percussion Instruments

• Percussion instruments keep the beat and rhythm
  in a song.
• They are usually located in the very back of the
  stage during a concert.
• Many percussion instruments are played with
  sticks or mallets.
• Some percussion instruments include snare
  drum, bass drum, cymbals, xylophone, timpani.
