Summary
Rachel a 9 year old girl from Alaska dreams of
owning and racing a sled dog one day, just like
her dad.
Rachel gets a puppy on her birthday from her Dad
and names it Silver. Then one day Silver
disappears. Rachel goes out to find him in a snow
storm, she follows the directions of the tracks
to the wolfs den and finds Silver with the
wolfs puppies and gets Silver back home. On her
dads return from Iditarod, she tells him whole
story...

• Rachel followed the footprints of the dog. It led
  to a cave where she found the Silver.

• Why Ruff cant take part in the Iditarod race?
• Ruff is having BABIES!

• Her dad said, Maybe.
• The answer is .YES!

• How did Rachel identify her dog from the wolfs
  puppies?
• Rachel identified her dog by looking at the eyes
  of the puppies. Silver has one brown eye and one
  blue eye. The wolfs puppies have yellow eyes.

Character 1

• The first main character is Rachel. She is nine
  years old. She lives in the middle of Fairbanks
  and Anchorage. She goes to Anchorage for a dog
  sled race. She gets a dog named Silver on her
  birthday as a gift from her dad. When the dog
  gets older, she wants the dog to be the fastest
  dog like her dads dog.

• The other main character is Silver. He is
  Rachels puppy. He gets lost in the book. Silver
  was Rachels gift from her dad. Silver has one
  blue eye and one brown eye. Silver is one of
  Ruffs puppy. He has downy fur the color of shiny
  coins. When Silver was born, he was extra small.
  Silver pulled a little wheeled cart.

• Rachel is a 9 year old girl. I am almost nine
  too.
• Rachel loves dog. Even I like the dogs.
• During the race, Rachel gets a postcard from her
  Dad. Even I got a Houston postcard from my Uncle
  for my Second grade project.
