12Barriers to use of Skype
- Banned at workplace (12)
- Poor audio quality sometimes (5)
- None (3)
- Probably just inertia to start on something new!
- Don't know enough about it to say
- Can be disruptive of workflow if not used
properly - Time zone differences would pose a problem
13Skype Discussion
- Very useful but is it really ready since a good
proportion of users are barred from work access? - Is it still useful to exchange Skype usernames so
that those who can use it will use it? - Is it best as a one-to-one tool where those who
can use it take advantage and those who cant
catch up when they can?
14Elluminate
- Broadcasting interactive online seminars
(Webinars) - Conducting audio and web conferences
- Group brainstorming, problem solving and
think-tanking - Going over data, docs and processes with
collaborators - Hosting organizational and committee meetings

16Elluminate Discussion
- How many people have attended an Elluminate
session? - How many people have barriers to using it? What
are they? - How useful are the recordings of the meeting?
- How many people would like to use it for a mini
ICE to be held in between in-person meetings? - How many people would like to use it for other
uses? - Can it replace full ICE meetings if travel funds
no longer exist?
