Fun Under The Sun!
  • Nicholas Jeffries 6C Term 3, 2006

2
What is Tallebudgera?
  • Tallebudgera is a small coastal camp where
students can evaluate life skills and have fun
developing social interests. Tallebudgera is made
up of 19 cabins which vary in size and shape. It
is built on 5.3hectares of golden beach.

3
Where is Tallebudgera?
  • Tallebudgera is located south of
Surfers Paradise and is part of the Gold Coast.
This beautiful part of the Gold Coast is teaming
with flora and fauna. Tallebudgera is located
next to a beautiful Gold beach called Palm
Springs, and is in close reach of a number of
    national parks and tourist attractions.

4
Why do year 6s go to Tallebudgera?
  • Students go to Tallebudgera to learn life
skills and improve personal fitness. Tallebudgera
provides lots of challenges for students of all
ages including physical, social and intellectual
    challenges.

5
What can year 6s do there?
  • Year 6s, whether ongoing or shy, can expect
to experience a range of activities such as Rope
    Climbing, Bouldering, Surfing, Swimming, Tennis,
Fishing and much more. Tallebudgera focuses
mainly on water sports since it is located so
close to the beach. Some water activities are
Canoeing, Lifesaving, Beach Games e.g. Volley
ball etc, Snorkeling, tobogganing and sailing.

6
What do year 6s do each day?
7
Who else goes there?
  • Year 6s will meet a range of year 6s and
year 7s from different schools across Australia
(mainly Queensland though). Some other students
from different schools may sometimes prove
valuable in group activities. While there, you
will develop friendships and a sense of making
new friends. Along with a range of different
students, you will also have to obey new
teachers. At first it may be a little
frightening, but you will quickly adapt to this
    new situation.

8
What do year 6s take to Tallebudgera?
  • Year 6s will be required to Bring
