The Role of SWAP

Goals of SWAP

• To inspire, support and promote youth empowerment
  through employment.
• To foster a lifelong commitment to active
  citizenship through work experiences.
• To provide access to life skills, education, job
  training and opportunities critical to success.
• To help with vocational guidance, counseling, and
  job readiness skills.
• To work in conjunction with The Department of
  Vocational Rehabilitation to produce independence
  and self-confidence in clients.

• Youth ages 16 to 25
• Mild to moderate barriers to employment
• Under or unemployed
• Motivated for competitive employment
• Positive work attitude
• Available for work

SWAP supports Candidates by

• Thorough training and preparation in all aspects
  of the employment process.
• Identifying individualized employment interests
  and goals.
• Providing support and assistance in securing
  career track employment.
• Ensuring specific and appropriate job placement
  based on an individual's skills, abilities, and
  interests.
• Assessing personality styles which promote
  effective professional and interpersonal
  communications on the job

  assist clients while attending classes
