• Growth in traffic and passenger flying from
  Vilnius Airport
• Increased competition from other airports within

• Problems with transportation to and from the
  airport at present
• At present, only slow local bus route exist,
  which does not stop at Central Rail Station
• Nearest railway station is Kirtimai -
  approximately 1 km from airport terminal
• Existing railway line running next to the airport
