Case Studies
  • Oliver is involved in an organized living
situation. He is currently studying for an
upcoming final. A senior living in the same area
asks which class the final is in. Oliver relates
the name of the instructor and the course. The
senior shows Oliver some test files as recent as
last semester. Copies of the exams are not
currently available from the instructor. Oliver
uses these tests to study for the final. Is
    Oliver violating the Honor Pledge?
  • Yes No

Case Studies
  • Ned just finished writing a term paper for
English Comp I. He accesses the web site that
offers to critique the paper for a price. He has
his paper critiqued and then retypes his paper
with the corrections and suggestions offered by
the site. He turns in the rewritten paper to be
graded. Do you consider this plagiarism?

taking the midterm exam. He goes to the student
union and starts talking with his friend about
the 10 point essay question at the end of the
test. Franklin doesnt know it, but Jazzmyn is
sitting two tables over listening to his
discussion. She will be taking the same test at 2
p.m. Would you consider that Franklin is cheating
