• Representing the special interests of IET members
  in the Manchester area (power specific)
• Providing topical and informative events and
  seminars to share technical knowledge
• Working with other technical groups to provide
  programme of meetings for the Manchester branch
• Maintaining a link to relevant Professional
  Networks
• Collaborating with other relevant Professional
  Bodies

• Shadow Chairman responsibility
• Support the operation of PTG in the absence of
  the Chair

• Collaboration opportunities with other
  Professional Networks and Bodies

• Working with companies both national
  international related to Power

• Support for administrative tasks

• Provide annual PTG budgetary planning for
  submission to the IET
• Support PTG members speakers expense claims

• Working with regional academic institution to
  encourage young members to participate in IET
  events

• Focus on broadening participation
• Power Technical Group PR
• Monitor and report on PTG image, appeal,
  perception
• Create / maintain micro-site on IET Manchester
  Network site
• Manage comms requirements

  fulfilling our remit to serve Manchesters Power
  Industry
• Keep people engaged. Make sure committee members
  are benefiting from their commitment to the PTG
