nominated were experts in various fields such as
visual arts, traditional crafts, culinary skills,
martial arts, literature and performing
arts. The award, sponsored by HSBC Bank Malaysia
Bhd, came with a plaque, a certificate and RM2000
per year for the rest of the recipient's
life. The panel of judges, chaired by former
Federal Court judge Tan Sri Chang Min Tat.
