- The connection between those institutes at a
speed of 32 MB/s is part of the REACCIUN2 project
sponsored by the Ministry of Science and
Technology (Ministerio del Poder Popular de
Ciencia y Tecnología). - The software that manages communications in the
grid environment (middleware) on GridVenezuela is
gLite - At present IVIC contributes with a 9-node cluster
to GridVenezuela and will expand this to 64 nodes
in the near future. The operating system that is
installed is Scientific Linux 3.0.7.
