Overview
4
Overview
  • What is the setting for John 14?
  • What just happened before the beginning of the
    chapter?

5
Preparing a Place
6
Prepare a Place
  • John 142 (KJV) In my Father's house are many
mansions if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you.
  • (Grk mone abode, not mansion).
  • Aramaic Many are the rooms (aona) in the House
    of My Father.
  • Aonaabode, habitation

7
Prepare a Place
  • John 143 (NASB) "If I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again and receive you to Myself,
that where I am, there you may be also.
  • The place is still being prepared.
  • We have not yet been received until Messiah
    comes again.
  • The Place is in the House of His Father.
  • Our status Betrothed, but not yet married.

8
Prepare a Place
  • Lets think about our relationship for a moment
  • We are betrothed to the Son.
  • Our only access to the Father is through the Son.
  • An earthly example of a heavenly truth is shown
    in Michael and Violet.
  • Michael took a bride, and brought her to his
fathers house. Before they were married, Violet
had no access to Michaels father, except through
    Michael.

9
He who has seen Me has seen theFather
10
He that has seen Me has seen the Abba
  • John 14 9-10 (Peshitta) Yeshua said to him, Have
I been so long a time with you, and yet have you
not known Me, Peleepa? He that has seen Me has
seen the Abba how then are you saying, show us
the Abba? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the
Abba, and the Abba is in Me? The words that I do
speak to you I speak not from Myself but the
Abba that dwells in Me, He does the works (ebda).

11
He that has seen Me has seen the Abba
  • Yeshua is the image (that which can be seen) of
that which is invisible (Col 1 15a).
  • If you could see the invisible Eloha, what you
would see would look like Yeshua.
  • It doesnt mean that Yeshua IS the Father, since
the Father is greater than I. (John 14 28)

12

16
The Father is Greater than I
17
The Father is Greater Than I
  • John 1424 (NASB) "He who does not love Me does
not keep My words and the word which you hear is
not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.
  • Messiah Yeshua says that the words He said are
the Fathers and the Father sent Him.

18
The Father is Greater Than I
  • One who does the sending is greater than the One
    who is sent.
  • In the Aramaic Peshitta Tanakh, Marya (Master
Yah) is exclusively used to represent hwhy. In
the Aramaic Peshitta New Covenant Scriptures,
Yeshua and the Abba are both called Marya.
  • Yeshua is the Marya who is sent.
  • Abba is the Marya who sends.

19
Who Was Born?
  • Luke 211 (KJV) For unto you is born this day in
the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the
    Lord.
  • Luke 2 11 (ISR) Because there was born to you
today in the city of Dawid a Saviour, who is
    Messiah, the Master.
  • Luke 2 11 (Peshitta) "For today in the city of
David there has been born for you a Savior, who
    is Marya Messiah."

20
Except by the Set Apart Spirit
  • 1 Cor 12 3b (Aramaic Peshitta) (A)nd no one
can say that Yeshua is Marya except by the Rukha
    Qadisha (Set Apart Spirit).

21
The Father is Greater Than I
  • John 1428 (NASB) "You heard that I said to you,
'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved
Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the
Father, for the Father is greater than I.
  • Ultimately, I dont think that this is a
temporal statement. I think it is a statement
    of the way things are.
