Start Aladin Click on Load

Search for available images in the Pelican region
in the Aladin image server.

We will now use the VOPlot plugin.

A new window appears. VOPlot is a versatile tool
to draw 2D plots using the data within the
catalogue planes.

First we will Create a new column for our table.

We identifiy the columns that will be used to
compute the J-K color.

Draw a color magnitude diagram in VOPlot

Click on the Plot button to draw the plot

Now switch to Select Points mode to pick points
in the diagram

Click and drag the mouse to select objects in the
plot. Here, we select the reddest objects.

The objects selected in VOPlot are automatically
highlighted in Aladin too.
