IMPORTANT Must have a sponsor (any Army Emp. at
unit level with a full AKO ACCOUNT).

Applying for An account if you do not have a
.mil address - Follow same instructions
above. - You need a sponsor that already
has an Army Knowledge Online
Account. - Choose GUEST Account -
You can enter a commercial e-mail account for
your username and password
information to be forwarded to you. - A non
.mil address requires a waiting period.
All new users Anyone with a current .mil
address will automatically be given an AKO
address. Your user name will be selected by you
based on some choices that use the first, last,
middle, and nickname you provide. The username
will be used for login as well as for your
lifetime email. You will be informed via your
USARC mailbox of your AKO Account.
