• A residence permit of 3 years renewable to carry
  out a professional project in France

General information

• CTC is issued to a foreigner who is likely to
  make a significant or lasting contribution,
  through his/her skills or talents, to Frances
  economic development or influence
• It concerns qualified professionals, investors in
  an economic project, independent professionals
  (artists, authors, athletes,), senior manager
  and high level executives

Features

• Residence permit issued by the consular
  authorities
• Valid for 3 years and renewable
• Spouse and children under 19 years old receive a
  residence permit in the same process (no work
  permit required and no family reunion process)
• CTC holders are allowed to work as soon as they
  arrive in France

Who is eligible ?

• The applicant must submit a credible professional
  project.
• The applicant must supply proof that he/she is in
  every way capable of carrying out this project.
• The application will be accepted/rejected based
  on 
• the projects interest/quality
• the applicants motivation/commitment
• the applicants skills and qualifications
• the means to carry out the project.

Requirements

• Designed by a national commission which meets in
  France at least twice a year
• Employees work contract required
• Investors to create two jobs minimum or to
  invest 300.000 or foreign society already
  established in France
• Legal representative of a foreign company 3
  time minimum wage mission of more than 6 months
• Athletes level required
• Professional experience required according to the
  level of education

Process

• Applicants have to set an appointment with the
  visa section to hand over the application package
• Processed by the consular section with the
  advices from other services if necessary (ie.
  IFANA, local labor department,)
• Processing time up to 1 month
• If the application is accepted, the consulate
  issues a letter of approval and a long stay visa
• Applicants have to go to the préfecture to
  receive the CTC and pay the fee (275 )

Application package

• Detailed letter describing the professional
  project
• Detailed resume and copy of highest-level
  diplomas
• Recent police record (FBI identification record)
• For the investors company legal statutes, bank
  statements, tax returns
• Any document confirming the applicants
  likelihood of completing the project
