PURPOSE
  • This is a collaborative unit which will explore,
    educate and assess student attitudes and opinions
    concerning the controversial sport of
    bullfighting.

ASSESSMENT
  • Pre-questionnaire is just to get an idea where
    students stand with respect to this topic. It
    will not be assessed, however every student is
    required to answer questions prior to going on to
    the next task.

  • Student groups will survey 100 people. (survey
    questions will be developed by students)
  • The students must report their findings by using
    a table or graph .
  • This information will later be posted on to the
    collaborative web site.

  • Scavenger Hunt-Students will go to the
    pre-designated site to work on a teacher
    initiated scavenger hunt for information about
    bullfighting not previously covered.

  • Students now armed with knowledge about the topic
    will take a position (for or against) this sport.
  • Using the pre-designated links to more
    bullfighting web sites, they must provide the
    class with a power point presentation defending
    their position. This will be done in groups.

    learned about bullfighting, as well as data
    collected from their surveys to the collaborative
    web page already under construction by teachers.
