AUTOBIOGRAPHY
  • DANNIELLE CONWAY

2
Intro
  • I was born at Manly Hospital, in Sydney on
the 16th of September, 1983. I was the first
child for my parents, but years later being
joined by my little sister, Samantha. From when I
was a little tucker mum and dad knew I had that
sporting streak in side me, which began to
    blossom over the following years.

3
Primary years..
  • In 1985 I started at the local primary school
Balgowlah North Primary. It was the same primary
school that my mum went to. I loved primary
school, it was one of the best times of my life
so far! I got to represent the school in lots of
    different sports, including soccer, softball,
netball, cross country, athletics, swimming and
tennis. Year 6 was a memorable year for me
because I finally won the tennis championship
that I had been runners up in the previous two
years, I made the Sydney North Softball team ,
    and I was House Captain.

And along came High School
  • High School was a huge change for me. I came from
a little primary school of 200 people to a high
school with about 1200 girls! It didnt take me
too long to settle in and find some great
friends. High School for me was a time of
opportunity. There were a lot of sporting
opportunities, and just the opportunity of
growing up. You know how it was when you first go
to high school, although you are the youngest in
the school you feel so old at heart because now
you are a big high school girl!

5
High School continued
  • I managed to keep my school grades just above
average, and was always considered a good
student! I think I did pretty ok in my HSC,
although I was little disappointed with my mark,
it did get me into my desired course which is
    what I wanted
  • High school was such a social event. All the
school dances, all our sleepovers when we were
younger, and all the parties that we had. I had
lots of fun and have lots of fond memories!

6
Sporting moments
  • Sport has been a big factor in my life. I am
constantly involved in sport and find myself a
little lost with out it! Over my years I have
played a variety of sports such as nippers,
dance, tennis, water polo, hockey, volleyball,
    basketball, netball, touch football, softball,
swimming, cross country, athletics and soccer.

7
Favourite Sports
  • Hockey and Softball would have to be my favourite
sports, both of which I have played at
representative levels. I have been playing
softball since I was 11 years old, and started
playing reps when I was 12. Since then I have
played non stop softball, and have been all over
NSW playing at state championships and other
tournaments. I also made the Sydney North teams,
and played in the CHS State team. Softball has
become such a part of my life as now my whole
family is involved heavily. I have played hockey
for 6 years and played reps for that as well. I
played every year at school and we have won 3
    grand finals!

8
Highlights of my life
  • Playing against international softball teams,
    E.g. Canada, Japan, New Zealand
  • Going to Bali for a holiday. It was my first time
    overseas. I really enjoyed it!!!
  • Completing my HSC and 13 years of school and
coming out happy, healthy and sane!
  • Moving to Bathurst to study for University, A big
change, but one a good one!

9
Lowlights of my life
  • Its not that really that bad, but it was
devastating for me at the timeI had my appendix
out a couple of days before my hockey grand
finals, so I couldnt play. I was so
disappointed. I went to watch and my team won,
but I still was very upset because I didnt get
to play the big grand final!

10
At the Present time
  • I have moved to Bathurst to study Primary
Teaching. I am really enjoying the course so far.
As much as I miss home, and all my family and
friends there, I have now created a new life for
myself here in Bathurst and I am really loving
    it!
  • I still am trying to keep involved with my
softball, and any other sport that I can
    participate in here on campus.
