4Ceremony Behavior- Indoors
- When national Anthem is played
- Stand at attention.
- Face the flag (or music if flag not visible).
- Salute only if wearing a cover (which would mean
you are bearing a weapon).

- When national Anthem is playedStand at
attention and face the flag (or music if flag not
visible) until flag is folded.In uniform-
Render salute on first note of music until last
note. In civilian clothes- Substitute salute
with right hand over heart.Male - removes hat
and holds in right hand over heart.Female - does
not need to remove hat.
6Ceremony Behavior- Outdoors
- Un-cased (flying free) or folded flag passes by
you - Stand at attention.
- Face front.
- Render appropriate salute six paces before flag
is even with you and held until flag has passed
six paces beyond you. - Flag on a stationary flag staff.Not Saluted.
7Ceremony Behavior- Disposal
- When flag is worn out, it should be destroyed by
first cutting the blue field from the flag, then
cremating the two pieces. This ceremony should
be performed with respect and feeling.
