• Was born in 1723, in Framingham, Massachusetts
• On the eve of March 5th, 1770, Crispus Attucks
  died
• In 1750, Crispus Attucks ran away to Boston when
  he was 27 because he was a slave

Who Was Crispus Attucks?

• Crispus Attucks was a runaway slave, who later
  died for American Independence,

Why Was He Important?

• Crispus Attucks was important because he was on
  of the five first Americans to die for the
  Revolution and for American Independence
• He was the first black killed in the Brittish war

How Did He Die?

• Some say that he heard of a boy who was beaten by
  a British soldier with his musket, and Crispus
  became angry and gathered 100 angry colonists,
  and they taunted the soldiers who became mad and
  fired.
• Others say that colonists were taunting the
  soldiers, and Crispus Attucks just so happened to
  be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
