About ourselves

• Hiya my name is Elizabeth
• Hiya my name is Ashleigh
• We go to Primary School
• We are both are in year 6
• We are 10 years old

Why we wanted to do the project

• It sounded fun and really good
• It sounded different
• It is in university
• It is unusual

How we learned about research and healthy eating

• We learned about research on the internet
• Reading books
• Meetings in university

How we did our research project

• We made a questionnaire asking what food is
  healthy and what food is not
• We asked children from year 5 to fill it in
• Then we added the total
• We looked at the differentces of the girls and
  the boys

What we found out

• All children thought that milk, water, salad,
  veg and fruit were healthy
• Nearly all the children thought that sweets, big
  mac, fizzy drinks, crisps and chips were
  unhealthy
• Some children werent so sure of the other foods
  or drinks fish, milkshake, yougut and chicken

What we found out

• Girls had more dont know than boys the boys
  had 7 and the girls had 30
• The results can be seen in the charts

What comes next?

• We could do more research about healthy eating
  but we want to do a new project
