What Is Money?

• Money is what we use to buy things. It comes
  in many forms, but the two major forms used in
  America is paper bills or coins. In this
  presentation you will learn about coins and their
  value.

Coins
Pictured above are the four coins we are going to
learn about. From left to right they are named,
nickel, dime, quarter, and penny.

Value

• One penny 1 cent or .01
• One nickel 5 cents or .05
• One dime 10 cents or .10
• One quarter 25 cents or .25

Combination of Money

• Money can be combined in many ways, for example
• 1 nickel 5 pennies
• 1 dime 5 pennies and 1 nickel
• 1 quarter 2 dimes and 1 nickel
• Can you think of any other combinations?
