2Use Search Match Prior to Quick Admit
When you enter the criteria in search match and
the student is not on the data base then navigate
to Quick Admit to add the student as New to the
data base (refer to Accessing Quick Admit for a
New Student). When the student is found on the
data base then you must utilize the ID in Quick
Admit (refer to Accessing Quick Admit-Existing
Student)
Click Carry ID and navigate to Quick Admit when
student exists.
3Accessing Quick Admit for a New Student
- Manage Student Records Manage Academic Records
Use Quick Admit
Accept the default of New for the new student
id. Select the Degree career. A new student that
is registering during open registration by phone
or in-person may want to register for both degree
and non-degree classes therefore, you will need
to activate them in both careers so that they can
register for both degree and non-degree classes.
Click the Add button to Quick Admit the selected
student for the specified Career and Term.
4Quick Admit Bio/Demo Name Marital Status
Todays date will default. This date or the term
date (which ever date is earlier) will be the
effective date on the Program/Plan page.
This is generally their legal name the name
they would use for their drivers license, other
forms of ID, or a diploma. For students who use
a more familiar name reference, use Preferred
Name under Names link. (Preferred Names captured
outside Quick Admit Process.)
Do not ask for a prefix Use only if student
indicates the use of a prefix.
Do not ask for a suffix (such as Jr) Use only
if student indicates the use of a suffix.
Not Required.
5Quick Admit Bio/Demo Statuses and IDs
Accept Default Country and NID Type
Enter Social Security Number with no dashes
(formats when saved). If student refuses to
provide, then leave blank.
Enter (if known) without slashes. Must enter the
century if prior to 1950.
This information is for State Reporting. Please
collect/ask for the information whenever possible.
Military Status,Campus ID, Visa/Permit data and
Citizenship are Not Required.
6Quick Admit Bio/Demo Phone
Click the Phone link.
Enter phone number with no spaces, slashes or
dashes. It will be automatically formatted.
Enter Extension in the Extension text box if app
licable.
Select Home for Phone Type.
Click the OK button to return to the Bio/Demo

7Address Page
- Enter Address according to postal abbrev with no
periods or punctuation (e.g. Dr for Drive, St for
Street See Postal Abbrev in Address Entry
Standards Document) - List Apt and Suite in address 1
- If the student has listed a college campus hall,
list the hall in the address 1 and the street
address in address 2
- Capitalize the first letter in each word in the
address
- When keying from forms or other written material,
key the address in the same format as written on
the form. (e.g. 2nd Street vs Second Street). If
a student writes 2, 3, etc and Apt in front of
the , DO NOT use the prior to the number. - If student has both a street address and PO Box,
key the PO Box in Address 2.
Select Home as the Address Type
Enter USA in Country

For the degree Career use only UNDEC for
Undeclared. All other programs must go through
the Admissions area for admittance.
For the Non-Degree Career use NDEG. Academic Pl
an will default based on the Program
Enter a Campus of MATC
Enter the term code. The term code is identified
near the top of the page.
Will default to the value specifed in the Admit
Term after the next page is accessed. If you
enter a value, key the same term code in the
Requirement Term
9WTCS Residency Page
Enter an Effective Term equal to the term that
you are Quick Admitting the student into.
Accept Default of USA.
Key in the State, County, Municipality, and High
School District, if known. Use the Lookup icon
to search for the appropriate codes, if necessary.
Click the Save button after entering values in
all fields. A page similar to the one below will
display. Press Yes if the residency informati
on is correct. Press No if data needs editing
before saving.

Do Not Touch this Page! This is a delivered Peo
pleSoft panel. It has been customized to
autopopulate from data entered on the WTCS
Residency Panel. For Residency changes to this
page or to the previous WTCS Residency page,
contact the Enrollment Center staff at 246-6210.
11Quick Admit Non-Degree Career
- Repeat this process for Non-Degree Career. You
need to carry forward the EmplID of the student
in order to Quick Admit them in the new career.
Refer to Search Match documentation for
assistance. - It is always advisable to Quick Admit the student
in both Careers - often the student is unaware of
which Career their desired class belongs to and
sometimes they even change their minds.
12Quick Tip For Quick Admit to Add Second Career
- Adding a second Career is as Quick as 1- 2- 3,
after using Search Match to carry ID to Quick
Admit
- Select the nondegree career
- Click Program/Plan tab to enter NDEG
- Enter the term in the Admit Term field
- Once you save the page then the other fields auto
populate. Notice that the information from the
Quick Admit of the first Career populates the
other pages.
Key in NDEG and tab to Admit term
Key in Term the same as identified on page
Click SAVE
13Accessing Quick Admit Existing Student

Use Quick Admit
After selecting Carry ID in Search/Match and
navigating to the Quick Admit option, the Quick
Admit Add a New Value page will display.
Notice that the EmplID from Search/Match is
carried forward. Select the careers that you ar
e missing in the drop down in the enrollment
request panel. The term should be set to the term
you are enrolling the student for.
Click the Add button to Quick Admit the selected
student for the specified Career and Term.
14Existing Student Name Changes
All existing bio/demo information will populate.
For name changes have student complete name
change form or contact the Enrollment Center.
15Existing Student - Address Changes
- Enter Address according to postal abbrev with no

Make any changes by inserting a row
- If an address exist in Home, update the Home
address.
- If an address exists in Mailing, update the
Mailing address.
- If an address exists in both Home and Mailing,
update both addresses.
16Existing Student - Residency
- Residency information that was entered previously
for the student will display on the WTCS and
Residency Official 1 pages. Do NOT Change! The
student needs to contact the Enrollment Center to
appeal residency.
