Health Warning
  • This powerpoint is only intended as an
    introduction.
  • You MUST be able to competently use the perfect,
imperfect, present and future tenses BEFORE you
attempt to use these more complex tenses.
  • You must revise and practise these tenses to
    become more familiar with them.
  • Get practice by incorporating these tenses into
your Conversation Booklet answers and ask your
teacher / FLA/ Miss Hibberd to check them.

24
  • Tenses will gain you the most marks in the
Application of Language and Accuracy marks
grids of the speaking exam. (10 marks each)
  • However, Communication and Content (10 marks)
is also very important. In addition to using
these very ambitious tenses, you must also make
sure to include your opinions, justify them, and
take every opportunity to expand your answers.
