4I heard that Batman graduated from IU. Is that
true?
- No, Batman is a make-believe cartoon character
who did not pursue higher education. However,
Michael Uslan, Oscar-winning producer of the
Batman movies (most recently Batman Begins) and
Constantine, is an IU graduate and recently gave
the commencement speech for the class of 2006!
5Is it true that IUs new super computer is faster
than a speeding bullet?
- Hard to say. What we do know is that its very,
very fast!! In fact its the nations fastest and
one of the most powerful in the world! -
- The IBM computer is capable of performing more
than 20.4 trillion numerical operations per
second.
6Can I study beetles at IU?
- Yes. Try a course in biology or animal behavior
to find out more about the life of beetles.
How about The Beatles?
Them too. IU professor and rock historian Glenn
Gass offered the nations first for-credit
history of rock and roll class at the IU School
of Music. Professor Gass also teaches an overseas
study summer program titled The Beatles in
London.
