Title: Introduction to Dashboards
1Introduction to Dashboards
Dashboards are written using BRIO (also now known
as Hyperion)
Hyperion
2Brio is
- A software package that can
- Be accessed over the WEB
- Used to retrieve data (like Access) from the Data
Warehouse - Produce charts and graphs (like PowerPoint)
3How we use Brio
- Produce static management reports found on our
Data Management home page - http//WWW.ITS.MNSCU.EDU/DATA
- Dynamically query the Oracle data warehouse
- Same page as above (different button)
4Now we have a new way to use BRIO
- DASHBOARDS --- a high level view of data
- which combines static reports and interactive
views of the data
5To view the Dashboards, you must log into Brio
6login
Need authorization to get into the Warehouse
(unlike the Management Reports)
But we will have an authorization category just
for dashboard users

7We have one dashboard available now on Distance
Learning
