What are we doing?

• Developing a published resource to address issues
  related to service provision to students who are
  hard of hearing in postsecondary settings
• Audience? Disability Services (DS) and Vocational
  Rehabilitation (VR) professionals, possibly high
  school staff, students, and families

Why?

• Students who are hard of hearing
• Often reluctant to ask for services
• May not be aware of current practices
• and technology available
• Needs are often misunderstood or
• stereotyped

• Students who are late-deafened or those with
  cochlear implants
• May function in ways similar to those
• who are hard of hearing
