Skull Types
  • There are three basic skull shapes in dogs
  • Dolichocephalic - long-nosed breeds, eg the Rough
    Collie, Afghan Hound, Dobermann and Fox Terrier.
  • Brachycephalic - short, snub-nosed breeds like
    the Pug, Bulldog and Pekinese.
  • Mesocephalic - A group including dogs which fall
    between the other two extremes.
