A Series of Events of FP6

• EURISPET is a Marie Curie Series of Events
• Sixth Framework Programme (FP6)
• Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses
• aim to provide short-term training opportunities
  to allow researchers to network and keep abreast
  of the latest scientific developments in their
  field. The action is targeted primarily at
  early-stage researchers and researchers with up
  to 10 years of experience.
• Why?
• Overcoming fragmentation
• Networking of researchers
• Broadening of perspectives
• Promoting gender balance..
• .Structuring the European Research Area (ERA)

• We (organisers) have been PhD students before you

• Have greatly benefitted from Summer Schools like
  this
• We are now involved in teaching and formation of
  early stage researchers
• Time to do something.
• We had a great previous experience with ISPET
• Why not trying to keep it alive under Marie Curie?
