What are documented accomplishments?
  • Evidence that supports you as a
  • Partner with students families and the community
  • Leader and/or collaborator
  • Learner

Getting Started.
  • Begin saving documentation that is directly
    connected to the standards AND can be DIRECTLY
    connected to student learning.

  • REMEMBER you can go back five years on your
    documentation to support you as a
    leader/collaborator and as a learner.
  • Documentation that supports your work with your
    students families can only go back 12 months
    from the date that your portfolio is due.

What is the impact on student learning????
  • This is the big question to ask as you are trying
    to decide on what accomplishments you are
    actually going to focus on.
  • If an accomplishment does not show an impact on
    student learning, do not include it.

What is required on the entry?
  • A written description and analysis of the
    accomplishment.
  • WHAT is the accomplishment?
  • WHY is it significant?
  • A reflective summary
  • WHAT is the impact on student learning?

Deciding which accomplishments to use
  • Ask yourself HOW you use what you learned at a
    workshop or training to better your classroom
    practice??
  • Ask yourself what was the impact on student?
