Not To Miss Cities Of Australia
2
One of the most popular countries to visit,
Australia has a lot of bests. Start with the
weather and carry on to natural scenery,
wildlife, beaches, scuba diving and snorkeling
only to name a few. With so many attractions
spread over such a vast area, a discerning
traveler may have to pick and choose
destinations. Listed below are some of the
cities of this vast continent that should not be
missed.
3
Sydney
  • Sydney with its sweeping harbour views and sun
kissed beaches, Sydney could easily vie for the
top spot on the worlds most beautiful city list.
This city justifiably hosts millions of visitors
every year. The average tourist is spoilt for
choice when it comes to fine dining restaurants,
shopping, wildlife and museum visits. The jewel
in Sydneys crown is still the world famous Opera
House. Even if youre not an opera fan, a visit
to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge to
check out its unique design is mandatory. The
best time to visit would be around the New Year
so that you can witness its spectacular, over the
    top fireworks display.

Melbourne
Melbourne is one of those cities that can be
described as a melting pot of cultures. It has
the largest population of Greeks outside of
Greece as well as a smattering of Vietnamese,
Lebanese, Chinese and Italian immigrants. With
this varied ethnic influence, is it any wonder
that the gastro choices Melbourne offers are wide
and varied? Youll have the opportunity to try
out authentic Chinese, Thai, Middle Eastern,
Vietnamese and Spanish grub. After indulging
your taste buds, it is a good idea to take a
round of Melbournes Central Business District,
an open air shopping mall. For museum junkies,
theres the National Gallery of Victoria, The
Immigration Museum and the Chinese Museum. When
youre done soaking up on art, theres
Melbournes nightlife that beckons. You can
choose from a host of plays, musicals and shows
or spend a merry evening in any of the numerous
watering holes that dot the city.
5
Brisbane
If youre a nature and wildlife fan, Brisbane is
the place to be. Choose from the City Botanical
Gardens, DAguilar National Park or Kangaroo
Point Cliffs and cruise down the Brisbane River
to catch a glimpse of koala bears at the Lone
Pine Koala Sanctuary. Another highlight of the
city is its nightlife. With its all year round
pleasant weather, any time is a good time to
hangout at the upbeat bars, cool cafes and
lounges and live music clubs that dot Brisbane.
6
Cairns
This tropical city is the only place in the
world with two World Heritage Sites. Visit
Cairns for the oldest rainforest on earth, the
Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier
Reef, the largest coral reef in the world.
Enough said!
7
Hobart in Tasmania
Tasmanias capital Hobart is famous for its
picture postcard perfect harbour and colonial
cottages than line its streets. A couple of days
will be sufficient to cover what this city has to
offer. Salamanca Place brims with cafes,
restaurants, galleries and art studios and a
vibrant market every Saturday.
8
Perth
The sun capital of Australia, Perth offers the
perfect locale to enjoy a glass of world-class
wine sitting by the ocean, enjoying the sunset.
Uniquely situated right next to the Swan River
and string of beaches, Perths natural beauty is
further enhanced by its natural bush land
vegetation. To further appreciate the greenery,
take a stroll down Kings Park - one of the
biggest city parks in the world!! Dont miss a
visit to the Swan Bells, one of the worlds
largest musical instruments and the Perth Mint,
Australias oldest operating mint.

Australia travel guides will suggest that the
best time to visit Australia are the summer
months of January and February for the Southern
states and April to August for Northern
Australia. This is when the weather is at its
best and the airfares at their lowest.
