Title: The Gluu Server now supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux
1The Gluu Server now supports Red Hat Enterprise
Linux
- Gluu announced today that the newest update to
its puppet recipe includes support for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
Previously, Community Enterprise Operating System
(CentOS) was required. The update allows Gluu to
remotely build and operate Gluu Servers for
enterprise customers who prefer using RHEL, the
best supported and most frequently upgraded
operating system in the linux ecosystem. -
- The Gluu Server subscription enables
organizations to more easily implement single
sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and web
access management using open web standards and
open source software. Using Red Hat Enterprise
Linux, Gluu clients can take full advantage of
RHELs industry leading operating system for
their federation service. -
- Gluus out-of-the box support for both CentOS
and RHEL improves the migration path to Gluus
technology for organizations committed to open
source software, said Mike Schwartz, CEO at
Gluu. This combined support offers more options
for enterprise customers, ultimately making it
easier for organizations to utilize Gluus
industry leading identity and access management
suite. -
2Gluus cutting edge open source OX technology
enables dynamic attribute transformation,
adaptive authentication and authorization, and
can be clustered for high availability, allowing
an organization to achieve maximum uptime for
servers and handle thousands of authentications
and authorizations every second. OX technology
combined with a subscription to the Gluu Server
can help maximize resource utilization and system
efficiency while driving down operating costs.
Gluus unique hybrid cloud deployment and
dedicated server architecture delivers guaranteed
security and scalability for large
organizations. By providing out of the box
support for RHEL, Gluu is enabling enterprise
customers to run the best supported, most
upgraded enterprise linux operating system on the
market, said Schwartz. This will make it
significantly easier for customers to deploy and
maintain Gluu on the operating system of their
choice. About Gluu Gluu provides IT
services to large organizations to help them
design, build, and operate authentication and
authorization (AA) systems to secure web and
mobile applications using open source software.
Gluu leverages open standards such as OAuth 2.0,
SAML, and RADIUS to enable organizational strong
authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and web
access management (WAM). The OX open source
project, maintained by Gluu, implements two
profiles of OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect for
authentication and UMA for authorization. Gluus
OX management service enables organizations to
quickly deploy an AA service for their Internet
domain, on the IAAS platform of their choice.
