  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be
    arising after you have been through a traumatic
    event. A traumatic event is something horrible
    and unfriendly that you see hears about, like
    child sexual or physical abuse, terrorist attack,
    sudden death of a loved one, rape, etc.
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an
    anxiety disorder.

Sign and Symptoms
  • PTSD can cause many symptoms. These symptoms
    define into three category.
  • Re-Experiencing symptoms
  • Flashbacks- reliving the trauma over and over,
    including physical symptoms ( heart beat or
    sweating).
  • Bad Dreams and Frightening thoughts.

  • Stay away from places, events that reminders of
    the experience.
  • Losing interest in activity that enjoy in past
  • Feel about guilty.
  • Feeling depression and worry

Symptoms of PTSD in Children
  • Fear of being separated from parent
  • Sleep problems and nightmares
  • Irritability and aggression
  • Forgetting how or being unable to talk
  • Aches and pains with no apparent cause
  • Acting out the scary event during playtime
  • Older children and teens usually show symptoms
    more like those seen in adults.
