Program Overview

• Texila American University has developed this
  "Knowledge Based Assessment" program leading to
  M. Ch Certification (Magister Chirurgie). The aim
  and objectives of the M. Ch Certification course
  is to provide research based Masters Degree,
  designed to gain super specialty experience in
  the respective specialization.
• This course is designed for the upcoming
  Professionals and as well for the senior surgeons
  wanting to update his/her knowledge and gain an
  additional qualification.
• To complete the M.Ch, there is a requirement to
  participate in both the clinical activities of
  the sub specialties, and in one or more
  independent research projects. This should
  preferably involve the recent advances in the
  respective sub specialties.
• M.Ch candidates are expected to publish at least
  TWO research articles in a refereed journal

Salient Features of mch programs

• Students will get Clinical guidance from the
  Hospital where he/she is getting trained. Their
  performance will be assessed by the Program
  Chairs with their suggestions and advises.
• Students will have to furnish the Academic
  requirements as per the format of the University.
  These requirements help the students in gaining
  more knowledge apart from the training in the
  hospital.
• Students will have to come out with the remedial
  measures as suggested by Program Chairs which
  makes the learning wider with better exposure.
• More emphasis is given to Research and
  Publication. Every individual is required to do
  an "Article Review". Selected Article Review will
  be published in University journals.
• Examinations are conducted through proctored
  online systems for Theory papers and Clinical
  will be monitored and assessed by the Chosen
  Examiners.

Eligibility

• Degrees of MB ChB / MBBS or an equivalent
  qualification and must possess a further
  postgraduate qualification e.g. MS/MD, Diplomate
  of the National Board from India, the FRCS/ MRCS
  from UK or an equivalent specialist
  qualification.
