Kristy Lynn Charters. My name is Captain Terry
Nied, and I am a full-time U.S.C.G. Captain. That
is important because I fish every day. I am the
owner/operator of this business. Being a
full-time captain ensures you that we won't spend
a lot of wasted time deciding where to go or what
to use. I have over 30 years experience on Lake
Michigan, and I hold one of the oldest charter
licenses on the Lake. Kristy Lynn we fish out
of Waukegan harbor. Ive fished all over Lake
Michigan (Kenosha (WI), Hammond (IN), Northpoint
marina (IL), the reason why I fish out of
Waukegan is simple, better fishing. In the years
that Ive been on Lake Michigan I can tell you
that the hardest part about fishing is finding
the fish. At Waukegan harbor I can get you to the
fish faster than anyone on the lake the only
thing you have to do is reel them in! I have
been aggressively fishing this area on Lake
Michigan for over 30 years.

Temperatures on Lake Michigan are very
unpredictable. While the temperature at the dock
might be 80 degrees two miles offshore the
temperature could be in the mid 60's! This is
especially true in April-May and September. Bring
along a sweatshirt, jacket, and slacks or pants
just in case. You will need sun block or tanning
lotion. Sun glasses and shorts for hot sunny
days. Rain jackets are recommended if weather
conditions are likely for rain!

Perch charters
Most trips will reach fish limit of 15 perch a
person. We provide light action fishing poles, or
you can bring your own pole. We use 8 lb. or less
line test. We supply weights, hooks and bait. If
you reach the perch limit during your trip, we
can fish for salmon during the remaining time.
You can also book a combo perch/salmon charter
for 8 hours.
