Recently, former Judge Paul Hawkes represented an
individual named Eugene Jacobson in front of the
Florida First District Court of Appeal.

30-Years since Graduation Former Judge Paul
Hawkes
In 2013, former Judge Paul Hawkes realized that
30 years had passed since he graduated from the
University of South Florida. Besdies having the
opportunity to serve as a Judge, Paul Hawkes has
had many other exciting opportunities in
politics and in law. Paul Hawkes was Judge Paul
Hawkes from 2003 2011, Representative Paul
Hawkes from 1990 -1994, and served on the 1997 /
1998 Consititutional Revision Commission. Judge
Paul Hawkes, prior to being appointed to the
Florida First District Court Of Appeal by Gov.
Jeb Bush, served for two years as Chief of Policy
for Speaker Tom Feeney. This experience gave
Judge Paul Hawkes the knowledge necessary to
help the court obtain many first.

Judge Paul Hawkes Youngest Chief Judge
In 2009, Judge Paul Hawkes had the unintended,
but interesting, distinction of being the
youngest chief judge ever selected by serve in
that capacity by the other judges on the Florida
First District Court Of Appeal. Judge Paul Hawkes
received the original appointment to the First
District Court of Appeal by Gov. Jeb Bush. Judge
Paul Hawkes considered this appointment a great
honor and did all that he could to uphold the law
and improve the court.
First court to obtain three Davis Productivity
awards in two years, first to rely exclusively on
eletronic document management, and even first
Florida appellate court to develop a specialized
unit to handle complex cases. Judge Paul Hawkes
graduated from the Florida State University.
