• Follicular Unit Extraction is one of the popular
  and widely-accepted hair transplant methods.As
  the name indicates, the extraction (or
  harvesting) of donor hair is in follicles or
  follicular units. It is a minimally invasive
  technique.

The technique

• With an instrument, specially designed for FUE,
• the surgeon harvests the
• required amount of follicles
• one-by-one from
• the donor site, usually
• rear part of the head.
• The donor site heals on
• its own in seven to
• ten days after the process.

• The surgeon makes tiny circular cuts
  approximately 1mm in size around the follicles
  on the skin, and each of the follicles is then
  pulled out and harvested for hair transplant.

• Follicular units contain around 1 to 4 hairs. The
  harvested hair follicles are then implanted
  individually into the bald area (or recipient
  site).
