Doug Peruski He'll Miss Duluth
Doug Peruski says that he will miss the original
Square Peg Players, but that he is looking
eagerly forward to his new life in New York. As
one of the founders of the popular Duluth,
Georgia theatre troupe, Doug Peruski helped build
them into a successful theater company. He
announced he is taking the troupe with him to New
York, although two of its founding members are
not making the move with him. He also announced
he has been cast in the role of Diesel in a new
production of West Side Story.

Doug Peruski No Regrets
Doug Peruski is a graduate of the University of
Georgia, where he received degrees in Theatre
Arts and Computer Science. "At first I did what
was expected of me," he recalls. "I followed the
usual career path. Used my Computer Science
degree and got a job at NCR." He stayed at NCR
for three years but says he was never happy
there. "In fact, I was downright miserable."

Doug Peruski says that as good as the Greek
restaurants are in New York, he is going to miss
Achilles, the popular Greek restaurant in Duluth,
Georgia where he has worked for the last four
years. When he first started working at Achilles,
he says, he just needed a job. He had quit his
job as a systems analyst at NCR in order to
devote himself to acting. "I didn't even like
Greek food all that much," he recalls with a
laugh. "But then, I didn't know much about it,
either.

Doug Peruski says he expects to be relocating to
New York City no later than the spring of 2015.
He is taking his theatre troupe, the Square Peg
Players, along with him. He has also been cast in
a new production of West Side Story.
