Mohannad Barakat is an experienced trauma,
orthopaedic, and spinal surgeon who is proficient
in doing every kind of spinal and trauma
surgeries. His other areas of specialization
include General Surgery, Cardiothoracia Surgery,
ENT, and Emergency Medicine.
3
Apart from his professional life, he takes active
participation in different sports and
recreational activities. He is an avid sportsman
and likes playing a variety of sports, including
golf, football, basketball, tennis, rugby, and
many others. He likes water skiing and does it 2
times in a year along with kite surfing.

Barakat gives some water skiing tips to people
who like it and wish to enjoy this exciting and
thrilling sport. He tells skiers to try to
perfect their offside turn, as many of them
experience troublesome offside turn. Mohannad
Barakat says that skiers must try to keep their
shoulders in a level and arms straight through
the edge.
5
Movements like dropping inside shoulder or
pulling arms in off the 2nd wake put a skier on a
restricted outbound trajectory and narrow path,
sacrificing width. Thus, don't tense up into toe
side turn, just loosen up your arms, and allow
the ski to progress outbound off the 2nd wake.
6
Another tip given by Barakat is to grip the ski
in an appropriate manner. He says that hips,
shoulders, and knees of professional skiers are
always in a line. He advises novice skiers not to
squat on the ski with their lower body and not to
stretch their arms, as it will bounce them over
the wakes.
7
He suggests to attend a pullout drill before
going into water that teaches a skier to make
maximum speed while being exerting less wight on
the rope. Mohannad Barakat GMC himself has
attended drilling sessions for years. He tells
that during these drills, an individual practices
a gate pullout on every side of the boat and
concentrates on body alignment.
