Investigating Photography

• I looked at a series of websites to find
  appropriate professional photography that I could
  use in my magazine. This is because
• I need to have lots of options for what to use in
  the magazine.
• I need to have plenty of variety that helps to
  represent my music scene accurately.

• I like this one because of the colour scheme of
  red and black it contrasts well. Also I like the
  way there is only one band member showing direct
  mode of address
• It could be used for a cover photo as it is quite
  striking and captures attention
• It would influence the design of the page by
  making the background dark therefore colourful
  bright text will have to be used to contrast
  well.
• It might has been created by roger sargeant nme
  photographer.

• I like this one because of its simplistic style
  and white balance.
• It could be used for a feature article photo as
  it interests the reader by not giving to much
  away in the image.
• It would influence the design of the page by
  giving it an overall minimalist feel/design
  therefore the page could not be filled up with
  clutter.
• It might have been created by a studio set up
  with high powered lighting.

• I like this one because it conveys a powerful
  meaning as it show unity of the band by them
  displaying their matching tattoos.
• It could be used for a cover photo/feature
  article photo.
• It would influence the design of the page by it
  contrasting white black and red therefore the
  rest of the page would have to follow this colour
  scheme
• It might have been created by a natural set up as
  the setting appears to be a pub/club.

• I like this one because it looks natural and was
  maybe taken by mistake in a photo-shoot.
• It could be used for a article photo/insert.
• It would influence the design of the page by
  having a large amount of white apparent in the
  photo therefore this will have to be contrasted
  with the text.
• It might have been created by a studio set up but
  taken in a natural pose as he has his eyes shut.

• I like this one because of its technical skyline
  backdrop It could be used for a feature article
  photo as it interests the reader by conveying a
  city lifestyle.
• It would influence the design of the page by
  giving it an overall busy style as it features
  bright colours and a city which people associate
  with a manic lifestyle.
• It might have been created by natural conditions
  as studio light dont seem apparent. Also it
  doesnt appear photo shopped as mac miller teeth
  aren't glowing white and imperfections are still
  visible.
