Veteran actor and social activist Sadashiv
Amrapurkar, who was being treated in a Kokilaben
Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) in Mumbai passed
away on early Monday morning. He was 64.

Amrapurkar made his mark as an actor and director
in theatre and movies was best known to the
national audience for his roles in movies like
'Sadak', 'Ishq'. His negative characters in
number of Hindi movies also made a mark on the
viewers.

Sadashiv Amrapurkar won the Filmfare Award for
Best Negative Role for 'Sadak'. He chantries a
role of Maharani. Amrapurkar worked in many other
movies like Aankhen, Ishq, Coolie No 1 and Gupt
where he played comedy role too.
