1. City Palace, Jaipur
The City Palace is one of the best tourist places
to visit in Rajasthan. It is a palace complex in
Jaipur that houses the famous Chandra Mahal and
Mubarak Mahal. The Chandra Mahal is one of the
most popular tourist places in Rajasthan. It was
once the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur and was
built between 1729 and 1732.

2. Amber Fort, Jaipur
The Amber Fort, more generally known as the Amer
Fort, is one of the most popular and is situated
at a distance of 11 km from Jaipur, the capital
city of Rajasthan.The Amer Palace served as the
royal residence of Rajput Maharajas and their
families. At the entrance of the Amber Fort,
there is a temple dedicated to Sila Devi, who is
a goddess of the Chaitanya Cult.

3. Jantar Mantar, Jaipur
The Jantar Mantar Observatory in Jaipur is a
collection of architectural astronomical
instruments. The Jantar Mantar was built by
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who served as a
commander to Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The Jantar
Mantar houses a giant sun dial called the Samrat
Yantra and other astronomical instruments such as
the Nadivalya Yantra, the Jai Prakash Yantra and
the Laghu Samrat Yantra.

4. Kumbhalgarh Fort, Udaipur
The Kumbhalgarh Fort is situated in the Rajsamand
district of Rajasthan. The fort is best known as
the birthplace of one of the greatest warriors of
India, Maharana Pratap. The fort was built during
the course of the 15th century, and further
additions were made to it in the 19th century.

5. Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur
The Fateh Prakash Palace is a great choice for
visitors. It was built in the early 20th century
and is named after Maharana Fateh Prakash, who
was the king during the construction of the
palace. The palace was used as a venue by the
kings in earlier days and has now been converted
into a hotel. The palace is still owned by the
Mewar Royal Family of Udaipur.

6. Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
The Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts
in India, situated at an elevation of 440 feet
from the city. The fort is enclosed by high and
sturdy walls and encloses several palaces and
temples within its complex. Besides the palaces,
the Mehrangarh Fort also has a museum which is
one of the most well-stocked museums in
Rajasthan. The Mehrangarh Fort is a must-visit
destination among all the Rajasthan tourist

7. Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur
The Umaid Bhawan Palace, originally called the
Chittar Palace, is one of the worlds largest
private residences. While a part of the palace is
still used by the Jodhpur Royal Family, another
part has been leased out to the Taj Group of
Hotels and it is now being run as a heritage
hotel by them.

8. Mandore Gardens, Jodhpur
The Mandore Gardens is well known for its
Chattris of several rulers of the state of
Marwar. The most prominent among all the Chattris
is that of Maharaja Ajit Singh II, which was
built in 1793. The Mandore Gardens also has a
government museum that has a Hall of Heroes and a
temple dedicated to 33 crore gods.

9. Nizamuddin Dargah, Ajmer
The Dargah Sharif in Ajmer is one of the most
popular tourist places in Rajasthan. It is the
maqbara or grave of the Sufi Saint Khwaja
Moinudeen Chisti The dargah is managed by the
Dargah Committee, appointed under The Dargah
Khwaja Saheb Act of 1955.

10. Deeg Palace, Bharatpur
The Deeg Palace is situated in this town and is
known for its architectural beauty. The palace
was built by Raja Surajmal with the objective of
warding off the scorching heat of the summers.

11. Lohargarh Fort, Bharatpur
Raja Surajmal created a number of palaces and
forts in Bharatpur. One of these forts is the
Lohagarh Fort, which is also among the strongest

12. Badal Mahal, Bundi

13. Taragarh Fort, Bundi
One of the best tourist places to visit in
Rajasthan is the Taragarh Fort or the Star Fort
in Bundi. The fort was constructed in 1534 AD on
a hillside. The fort has three gateways called
the Laxmi Pol, the Phuta Darwaza and Gagudi ki
Phatak. Today, most parts of the fort are in a
dilapidated condition. However, it still looks
majestic and is the most impressive monument in
Bundi.

14. Jaisalmer Fort
The Jaisalmer Fort is one of the largest forts in
the world. It is called the Sonar Qila in the
local language as it is made of yellow sandstone.
The Jaisalmer Fort takes on a yellow hue in the
sun rays and turns a beautiful honey gold colour
at sunset.  Furthemore, the Jaisalmer Fort is the
only living fort in the country.

15. Jagmandir Palace, Kota
The Jagmandir Palace is another one of the
tourist attractions in Kota. The Jagmandir Palace
was built by one of the queens of Kota in 1740
and is situated in the middle of the Kishore
Sagar Lake. The Kishore Sagar Lake is an

beauty.

17. Chittorgarh Fort
The Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in India
and the grandest fort in the state of Rajasthan.
The fort, which is also called Chittor, was the
seat of power of the rulers of Mewar.

18. Junagarh Fort, Bikaner
The Junagarh Fort, originally called the
Chintamani Fort, is one of the few forts in
Rajasthan which is not built on a hilltop. The
fort was built in the early 20th century when the
royal family moved to the Lalgarh Palace. The
Junagarh Fort is placed centrally and the city of
Bikaner has developed around it. The fort complex
was built under the supervision of Karan Chand,
who served as the Prime Minister of Raja Rai
Singh.

19. Nathdwara Temple
The Nathdwara Temple is located 48 kms North-East
of Udaipur city in Rajasthan. It is a famous
tourist attraction for the followers of the Hindu
God, Shrinathji. The temple was built in the 17th
century.

20. City Palace, Udaipur
The City Palace is located at the banks of Lake
Pichola and it has several palaces bulit within
its complex. It is bulit on a hill top which
acounts for picturesque view of the whole city.
The architectural design is a fusion of
Rajasthani and Mughal designs.
